PLANET FRATERNITY
The PLANET Fraternity project, aimed at young people aged 9 to 18, uses an innovative teaching approach based on the “I Can ’ methodology, inspired by Kiran Bir Sethi’s Design for Change. This method puts young people at the heart of the action, engaging them to feel, imagine, act and share their own solutions to the challenges facing the world today.
PLANET Fraternity encourages students to work together on global issues such as the environment, social justice and solidarity, while enabling them to develop essential skills such as critical thinking, creativity and collaboration. Working in partnership with schools around the world, young people are encouraged to think about real-life issues and come up with practical solutions. They collaborate with peers from other countries, strengthening intercultural links while practising their English.
This project, which is in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the teachings of the encyclicals Laudato Si ‘ and Fratelli Tutti, encourages a vision of a more united and sustainable world, where every young person can be an agent of change.
Target group: Young people aged 9 to 18
Aims: Encourage international collaboration, develop critical thinking and creativity, promote solidarity and civic commitment.
Teaching approach: ‘I Can’ methodology (inspired by Design for Change), collaborative work on the SDGs, learning English and intercultural exchange.
